Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.54 g, 6 h), Rome, 125-128. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS Laureate head of Hadrian to right, drapery on left shoulder. Rev. COS III Minerva standing left, holding spear pointed downwards and round shield. BMC 344. Cohen 297 var. (differing bust type). RIC 154. A beautifully toned example with very attractive surfaces. Tiny die break on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
